As an
individual renting a property it can sometimes feel as though your landlord is
calling the shots when problems arise with your tenancy.
However,
tenants have a number of rights when dealing with a landlord and we believe
that early advice when problems such as rent arrears or breaches of the tenancy
(perhaps by your landlord) arise is important.
In the majority of
cases, notice has to be given before proceedings are started and that is the
time to take legal advice on your rights and your landlord's responsibilities.
We can also help with defending possession proceedings and advise you
on related housing matters.
As a landlord
you will no doubt try to ensure you have responsible tenants who pay rent and
abide by the conditions of their tenancy or lease.
Occasionally,
problems arise and we offer a full service to all commercial landlords of both
individual and business tenants.
Our advice not only includes Tenancy
Agreements but also includes practical solutions to common problems including
non-payment of rent or breach of tenancy conditions.
As with all areas
of our work, we will keep you advised throughout the case of the likely costs
involved.
